Trucks, machinery and support vehicles: what each unit did

For contractors and support fleets in mining: tracking, fuel and maintenance for each unit. It is fleet control, not a mine dispatch system.

The problem

Units work far away and sometimes without coverage. The office needs to know what each one did, how many hours it worked, how much fuel it took and what is about to expire, without relying on calls or spreadsheets.

What you can do

Tracking of units

Position, path, stops and hours of trucks, light machinery and support vehicles.

  • Live status with time since the last data point
  • Daily history with trips and stops
  • Geofences on work areas, access points and yards, with notices

Fuel and tanker trucks

Fuel loads with a source tank, physical readings and differences against the system; the tanker is linked to a vehicle.

  • Dispatch by tank
  • Reconciliation with the physical reading
  • The driver records the load from the app, also without signal

Maintenance, documents and checks

Plans by kilometers, hours or days, documents with an expiry traffic light and checks by type of unit.

  • Fit, expiring or not fit status
  • Attachable implements
  • Staff and documents per person

Recording without signal

Every position is saved on the device and uploaded when the connection returns. In our automated tests no point was lost; it still has to be tested on real units in a mining operation.

Available today

  • Tracking of trucks, machinery and support vehicles, with route, stops and hours per unit
  • Recording without signal that completes on reconnection (no lost points in our automated tests)With conditions
  • Fuel: refuels, tanks and tankers, with readings and differences against the system
  • Maintenance, expiring documents and checklists per equipment type, with geofences and alertsWith conditions

Not available yet: ask us

  • Projects, contracts and reports per work front: planned
  • Load and haul cycles, and tonnage: planned
  • Mine dispatch, underground positioning and collision avoidance: outside today’s scope

A working day, end to end

  1. Plan and assign

You organize the day's units and, if there are defined stops, load them as a route sheet.

  2. Work and record

Each unit works with its Android phone or tablet; the path and the fuel loads are saved.

  3. Review and control

You review hours, stops and fuel differences, and the expiry dates of documents and maintenance.

  4. Close and report

You export the period report per unit, as CSV or Excel.

Who does what

  • Fleet manager or contractor: follows units, fuel and expiry dates.
  • Operator or driver: the app saves their path and records fuel loads.
  • Workshop and administration: maintenance plans, documents and reports.

What was tested and what was not

Tracking and fuel were tested with a simulator and, in part, with a real tablet. There is no real mining deployment and no eight-hour battery measurements; that is why we do not promise field figures.

What you need and what to know

  • One Android device per vehicle or machine, or a Traccar-compatible tracker. Engine and load sensors are not read.
  • Recording without signal covers positions, marks and loads; the office sees that stretch when the unit reconnects, not live.
  • The scope is fleet control; what it does not include today is under "Not available yet: ask us".

Frequently asked questions

Is it a mine dispatch system?

No. It is fleet control: tracking, fuel, maintenance and reports for trucks, machinery and support vehicles. Projects and contracts, load and haul cycles and mine dispatch are not included yet; tell us about your case and we will evaluate the scope.

Does it work without coverage in the mine?

The unit keeps recording and sends everything when the connection returns; meanwhile the office does not see that stretch live. In our automated tests no points were lost, but it still has to be tested in your operation.
