Each technician's and sales rep's day, visit by visit

For companies with people on the road: assign the day's visits, watch their progress and reschedule what is pending without calling each person.

The problem

The person coordinating does not know what each technician or rep visited, when they arrived or what is left of the day, and rescheduling means phone calls. Meanwhile the customer waits and the day cannot be reordered.

What you can do

The day plan for each person

Build the route sheet with the day's visits and assign it to a technician or rep. It can be reordered, duplicated to another day and rescheduled.

  • Visit order proposed by the optimizer, when the street engine is installed
  • Weekly schedule per technician, with absences and skills
  • Sheets that repeat through templates

Arrival and result of each visit

Each person marks in the app that they arrived and closes the visit as done, failed or skipped. You see the progress on the web and the day board flags delays.

  • Results: done, failed or skipped
  • Day board with delays and estimated arrival time
  • Notice of visits the vehicle passed without closing

Coordination with the field

Write to the person on the road from the web; without signal, the message arrives when they reconnect. The daily history lets you review each visit.

  • Messages between the office and the team
  • Daily history with trips and stops
  • Route reports as CSV or Excel

Available today

  • Route sheet with the day’s visits, which each person follows in the app even without coverageWith conditions

A working day, end to end

  1. Plan and assign

In the morning you assign each technician their visits and their order; the sheet goes down to their app.

  2. Work and record

The technician arrives at the customer, marks the arrival and closes the visit with its result; without coverage it is saved and uploaded later.

  3. Review and control

From the office you see who is running late, write to the team and move visits between technicians.

  4. Close and report

At the end of the day you reschedule what is pending and review the path and the results in the history.

Who does what

  • Coordination: builds and distributes the sheets, follows progress and reschedules.
  • Technician or rep: follows their sheet in the app and records arrival and result.
  • Administration: reviews the visit reports per person and per day.

What was tested and what was not

The route sheet, the arrival and the result of each visit were tested end to end with a simulator and on a real Android tablet, with and without signal. It has not been tested with your team or with other Android models yet.

What you need and what to know

  • One Android app (tablet or phone) per person; iPhones are tracked with Traccar Client, position only.
  • Without signal you can see the sheet already downloaded and mark arrivals and results; the office message arrives on reconnecting.
  • The weekly schedule per technician is a module of the "Field service" profile, chosen in Settings.

Frequently asked questions

Does it work for sales reps making commercial visits?

Yes, for planning the day and seeing the arrival and result of each visit. It does not include customer or opportunity tracking (CRM): for that, tell us about your case.

Does the technician need internet all day?

No. The app saves every position and every mark on the device and sends them when the connection returns. The office sees that stretch afterwards, not live.
